DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's basketball team (5-17, 5-14 GLIAC) will wrap up its home schedule on Thursday against Malone (10-15, 8-11 GLIAC) for "Senior Night" before traveling to Walsh (14-9, 10-9 GLIAC) for a Saturday contest against the Cavaliers. WSU will look to play the role of spoiler as Walsh currently is tied for the sixth seed in the GLIAC standing but have yet to clinch a playoff berth.

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its 2015-16 men's basketball preseason poll on Wednesday as voted on by local media members. The Wayne State University men's basketball team was predicted to finish fourth in the South Division with 60 points. Additionally, junior guard Clark Bishop (Detroit, Mich. / Renaissance) was voted to the All-GLIAC South Second Team.

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University men's basketball squad (0-1 overall) began its 2015-16 season with an 82-51 setback to Kentucky Wesleyan (1-0 overall) in the second game of day one of the 2015 GLIAC/GMAC Challenge being hosted by WSU.  Tiffin rallied for an 88-84 overtime victory over Alderson Broaddus in the opening game Saturday evening.

DETROIT -- In the final game of the GMAC/GLIAC Challenge, the Wayne State University men's basketball team (0-2) fell, 82-75, to Alderson Broaddus (1-1) on Sunday evening inside the Matthaei. The Warriors trimmed ABU's lead to six on two occasions including once in the second half but the comeback attempt would run out of time. The GLIAC went 1-3 against the GMAC in the two-day event.

DETROIT -- After hosting the GMAC/GLIAC Challenge and dropping both games on Nov. 14-15, the Wayne State men's basketball program will look to post its first victory of the season at Lewis on Saturday. The Warriors will look to improve on last season's 1-12 record away from the Matthaei. WSU played much better in game two improving its shooting performance from .217 against Kentucky Wesleyan (11/14) to .417 vs. Alderson Broaddus (11/15).
