GLIAC -- Colin Golson, Jr. (Detroit, Mich. / rndale (Siena / Eastern Michigan)) of the Wayne State University men's basketball team was named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career on Monday. The honor comes after Golson averaged a double-double with 20 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in a pair of much-needed Wayne State victories.

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its 2023-24 postseason awards on Friday morning and three Warriors were recognized.  Rob Lee, Jr. (Flint, Mich. / Beecher) was named GLIAC Freshman of the Year while Carmelo Harris (Flint, Mich. / Beecher) was announced with the Second Team and Ray Williams, Jr. (Detroit, Mich. / Edison Public School Academy) received All-Defensive Team honors.

Wayne State advanced to the GLIAC Semifinals for the first time 2012 with an 87-78 triumph at second-seeded Lake Superior State on Wednesday evening.  WSU shot 60 percent (12-of-20) from beyond the arc, and a stellar 96 percent (21-of-22) from the charity stripe.  WSU will square off against Ferris State at 3:30 p.m.  on March 9th in a GLIAC Semifinal contest.

GLIAC -- Rob Lee, Jr. (Flint, Mich. / Beecher) of the Wayne State University men's basketball team was one of five players named to the GLIAC All-Tournament team following the conclusion of the event on Sunday.  Lee averaged 20 points per game in the Warriors' two contests while shooting 55 percent (11-of-20) from the field.
